It shall be unlawful upon any road in or within 200 feet of a residential zone within the town limits to apply a “Jake Brake” or similar engine brake retarder device on a semi-tractor, tractor trailer combination or multi-axle motor vehicle, or to utilize the engine to slow or reduce the speed of any said vehicle or combination thereof so as to create a situation where the engine, when utilized to slow said vehicle results in a loud noise emanating from said vehicle.
