§ 51.32 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   AIR GAP (AG). A physical separation between two piping systems.
   BACKFLOW. A hydraulic condition, caused by a difference in pressures, in which non-potable water or other fluids flow into a potable water system.
   BACKFLOW PREVENTER. A testable assembly to prevent backflow.
   DOUBLE-CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY (DC). A complete assembly meeting AWWA Standard C5 10 and the requirements of the Arkansas State Plumbing Code consisting of two internally loaded, independently operating check valves between two tightly closing resilient-seated shutoff valves, with four properly placed resilient seated test cocks.
   REDUCED-PRESSURE PRINCIPLE BACKFLOW PREVENTION ASSEMBLY (RP). A complete assembly meeting AWWA Standard C51 I and the requirements of the Arkansas State Plumbing Code consisting of a hydraulically operating, mechanically independent differential relief valve located between two independently operating, internally loaded check valves that are located between two tightly closing resilient seated shutoff valves with four properly placed resilient-seated test cocks.
