The minimum grades outside of the 100 feet intersection requirement shall be 1.0% for the street unless otherwise approved by the city. The maximum allowable grade for local streets shall be 12%, and for collector and arterial streets the maximum grade shall be 8%. In situations where topography does not allow for compliance with these standards, a waiver may be requested from the planning commission. Where grades are greater than 10% for distances of more than 300 feet, the paving material S shall be concrete.
