Any person who violates or attempts to violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a class 1 misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine not to exceed two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00), by imprisonment not to exceed six (6) months, or both. Any city magistrate who accepts a guilty plea for a violation of section 130.76(B) or who, after trial, finds a person guilty of a violation of this chapter, may sentence the convicted person, together with any other fines, to jail time, probation, community service or other lawful sentence that the court deems just and proper.
