Fees are chargeable for criminal background check before transfer of a firearm.
A. The marshal's department shall charge a fee, in addition to any other fees prescribed by law, in the amount of ten dollars ($10.00) to recover the cost of criminal history background information checks which by law are conducted before transfer of a firearm to an individual who is not a federal firearms licensee.
