A. Whenever the words "a municipality" are used in the public works code adopted by the preceding section, it shall be held to mean this city. Further, whenever the words "Mariposa County" or "county" are used in the public works code adopted by the preceding section, it shall be held to mean "Cochise County"
B. Whenever the term "corporation counsel" is used in such public works code, it shall be held to mean the city attorney and/or legal advisor for the city.
C. Whenever the word "engineer" is used in said public works code, it shall be held to mean the city engineer.
D. The phrase "public works" is any and all work performed on public thoroughfares, including, but not limited to, streets, alleys, sidewalks, easements, rights of ways and the entrances thereto or exits therefrom.
E. All public work performed shall be regulated and enforced by the provisions of this code whether performed by the department of public works, city of Tombstone, a contractor under contract to the city; a real estate subdivider, a contractor performing work for a subdivider, a public utility, an individual or company doing work on time and material basis for the city or a property owner or lessee.
