All full-time employees participate in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF). Employees’ mandatory contribution of 4.5% from their gross pay will be deducted from their paychecks. Employees do have the option to take an additional deduction up to 7%, in addition to the 4.5%. To be fully vested, employees must be employed with the village for eight years. This is not an optional deduction.
