§ 35.045  JOB CLASSIFICATION.
   (A)   Full-time employees. Individuals who are regularly scheduled to work no less than 35 hours per week. Full-time employees receive all benefits provided by these policies, upon successful completion of the initial review period. Bargaining unit members may have different benefits than other employees. If the employee is a member of a bargaining unit, he or she should refer to his or her Bargaining unit agreement for the latest information.
   (B)   Part-time employees. Individuals who are regularly scheduled to work less than 35 hours per week. Part-time employees are not eligible for benefits described in this chapter except where noted or to the extent required by state or federal law.
   (C)   Temporary and seasonal employees.
      (1)   Individuals who are hired for specific periods of time or for the completion of a specific project are deemed temporary or seasonal employees. Seasonal employees are considered to be temporary employees. Temporary employees are limited to work for 26 weeks or less, and are not eligible for benefits described in this chapter except to the extent required by state or federal law.
      (2)   Some part-time police officers are included in the bargaining unit after they have served a specific number of hours. They do not receive fringe benefits.
   (D)   Elected and appointed officials. Elected and appointed officials are not eligible for benefits described in the manual except where noted or to the extent required by state or federal law.
