787.08. Chief Inspector of Weights and Measures to make inspections.
   The Chief Inspector of Weights and Measures is hereby authorized and directed to examine any or all of such sacks, barrels, cases, cartons, packages, bottles, kegs, cans, drums or other containers referred to in Section 789.02 and to see that the terms and provisions of Chapter 789 pertaining to the marking or printing thereon are complied with; he may weigh, measure or count the contents thereof whenever possible to do so without first breaking open the package or container, otherwise permission must be granted by the owner or his agent to break open such package or container.
