For the purposes of this chapter, "professional bondsman" means any person, firm or corporation duly licensed or authorized under the laws of the State to do business as a surety company, which person, firm or corporation for becoming surety or providing surety on any bail bond, recognizance bond, appeal bond or other court bond required to be filed in the City in any court with jurisdiction in the City, demands or receives directly or indirectly fees or compensation for such services.
