(a) The Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion shall be appointed by the Mayor in the manner provided by the Charter and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor.
(b) The Director shall execute the duties imposed by ordinance of Council and such further duties as may be prescribed by the Mayor. The Director shall be responsible for the City's Affirmative Action program, contract compliance activities, and shall oversee all programs and policies promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.
(c) Any reference to the City of Toledo's Office of Affirmative Action and Contract Compliance or Office of Diversity and Inclusion shall be deemed to mean the Department of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion including references in the Toledo Municipal Code, Administrative Policies, rules and regulations.
