The City of Toledo is committed to encouraging an active electorate and therefore seeks to assist eligible Ohio residents who are interacting with the City by providing additional opportunities to register to vote. The purpose of this policy is to provide opportunity to eligible Ohio voters to fill out appropriate voter registration materials at most customer service areas of city government.
This policy is designed to supplement existing state and federal laws and initiatives. This Chapter should be interpreted in a manner that does not conflict with state or federal laws or policies. Should any provision of this policy be determined by a court with jurisdiction as impermissibly conflicting with a state or federal law or policy, the remainder of this policy shall remain in effect to such extent as possible so as to give fullest effect to the purposes set forth herein.
