Following completion of the preliminary review, Board members shall vote to:
(a) Concur with the original police investigation.
(b) Request further review and investigation by Police Division Internal Affairs.
(c) Initiate Board investigation using Board staff.
(d) Hold a public hearing with principals involved. This action will only take place when all other avenues have been explored and questions surrounding the case remain unanswered. Seven Board members must be in favor of a public hearing.
