151.02. Board.
   The governing board of the Toledo Community Improvement Corporation shall consist of not less than four or more than nine members. The Board shall include the following ex-officio voting members, the mayor or the mayor's designee, City's director of economic and business development, the president of Toledo City Council, and the director of affirmative action and contract compliance. In addition, the Mayor shall appoint five additional members. The members shall include: three members from the business community, at least one of whom shall represent minority business interests; one member from a community or regional economic development entity; and one member from a neighborhood or community development organization. Ensuring community representation reflecting the diversity of the City shall be a consideration in selecting appointments to the board. Except for the ex-officio members, one board member shall be appointed for an initial term of one year; two members shall be appointed for a term of two years; and two members shall be appointed for a term of three years. Thereafter, all terms shall be for a period of three years. Members may be reappointed as permitted under other provisions of the Toledo Municipal Code. The director of economic development shall act as Secretary of the Board. The Board shall select a president from among its members. The Board shall adopt by majority vote such code of regulations, by-laws and procedures as shall be expedient for the conduct of its business.
