200.05 Taps - Service Size - Materials
   It is the Customer's responsibility to determine the water service size needed to adequately provide for fire and domestic service. A flow test is recommended per these Rules and Regulations, to determine the available flow and pressure of the water system.
   A.   Services two inches (2") and smaller shall be type "K" soft copper. No other type of material such as iron, steel, galvanized iron, or plastic shall be used from the curb stop or control valve to, and including, the meter setting.
   B.   Services larger than two inches (2") shall be ductile cast iron. All ductile cast iron and fittings shall conform to Division of Engineering Services specifications. No other type of material shall be used from the public water main to, and including, the meter setting.
   C.   Existing services of less than one inch (1") and/or of material other than type "K" soft copper shall not be used for connecting a new or rehabilitated structure or site to the water supply. A new one inch (1") tap shall be purchased. At the time the replacement tap is made, the existing tap shall be Killed.
