The County Self-Insurance Fund for the operation of the county jail, Sheriff’s Department including but not limited to the Sheriff of the county and Sheriff’s employees, County Commissioners, County Council, and all other elected and appointed officials and employees including professional employees (i.e., engineers, surveyors, lawyers, counselors, etc.) acting within the scope of employment and acting on behalf of the county, shall be used solely for the payment of losses due to claims from the operation of the county jail, Sheriff’s Department including but not limited to the Sheriff of the county and Sheriff’s employees, County Commissioners, County Council and all other elected and appointed officials and employees including professional employees (engineers, surveyors, lawyers, counselors, etc.) acting within the scope of employment and acting on behalf of the county, up to a maximum of funding the balance per claim.
