Body art is becoming prevalent and popular throughout Indiana. Knowledge and practice of universal precautions, sanitation, personal hygiene, sterilization and aftercare requirements on the part of the practitioner should be demonstrated to prevent the transmission of disease or injury to the client and body art practitioner. Accordingly, this chapter is passed for regulation of the practice of body art in Tippecanoe County as part of the mission of the Tippecanoe County Health Department to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
