§ 76.18  PARKING TAGS; IMPOUNDING VEHICLES; IMPOUNDING TAGGED VEHICLES.
   (A)   Police officers shall be provided with tags for giving notice of parking violations to owners, drivers or operators of automobiles and other vehicles. When a tag is attached to the vehicle left parked on a municipal street, highway, alley or avenue in violation of the  provisions herein, the owner, operator or driver shall comply with all instructions appearing on the tag which pertain to the violation.
   (B)   No one shall refuse or fail to comply with the directions on the tag.  When a tag has been attached in a conspicuous place, legal and sufficient summons shall be served upon the owner, driver or operator to appear at the designated place, day and hour for the purposes stated thereon.  However, this section shall not abridge the power of police officers to arrest for crimes and misdemeanors.
