The Division of Water and Wastewater shall be under the direction of the Superintendent of Water and Wastewater who shall be accountable to the Director of Municipal Services and/or City Manager. The Division shall perform the following functions:
(A) Operate, maintain and repair the water works system of the municipality, including the buildings used by same, the wells, distribution lines, meters, tanks and fire hydrants, and distribute water through said system to the residences, hydrants and other places where such water is used within the municipality;
(B) Maintain accurate records of all operations, including quantities of water pumped and sold to consumers. Make available to the Department of Finance the information necessary to render invoices to customers for water used;
(C) Operate and maintain the sanitary sewerage system of the municipality, including sanitary sewer mains, appurtenances and treatment facilities;
(D) Maintain accurate records of all operations;
(E) Assist other departments in performing their work and/or other duties as assigned by the Director of Municipal Services and/or the City Manager.
