§ 35.82  FEES FOR AMBULANCE SERVICE.
    A)   The city, on behalf of the Division of Emergency Medical Services, is authorized to bill and collect for emergency medical services provided to the residents of the city, or non-residents within or outside the city, at the following rates:
      (1)   Fees for Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS-1 and ALS-2) will be determined and set annually on January 1 to Medicare's "usual and customary" rates in place at that time for both emergency medical services provided as well as transportation to the closest medically appropriate hospital (mileage determined from the site of the request for service to the hospital).
      (2)   $50 for all calls dispatched in which transportation to a hospital is not rendered and medical supplies are not used.
      (3)   $75 for all calls dispatched in which transportation to a hospital is not rendered and medical supplies are used.
   (B)   The determination of need for transportation and the level of medical care provided, Basic or Advanced Life support, shall be made by the EMS Division person in charge at the site of the request for service.
   (C)   All monies collected from such billing shall be deposited in the general fund of the city.
