The Division of Fire shall consist of a Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, full-time, paid part-time, on call, volunteer fire fighters, or any combination thereof, and shall provide the following services to the municipality: be responsible for the prevention of fire and for the control and extinguishment thereof within the municipality, fire inspections, educational programs, and within other areas in accordance with any agreements or contracts which the municipality may now have or may enter into with the township(s), county, or other governmental agency; and be responsible for the protection of lives and property endangered by fire.
