§ 35.11  DUTIES OF POLICE CHIEF.
   (A)   The Police Chief shall be in charge of his or her division and of the personnel thereof.
   (B)   He or she shall be accountable to the Director of Safety, and shall perform the following duties:
      (1)   Formulate and recommend to the City Manager, for approval, policies, procedures, and rules and regulations for the government and operation of the Police Division and its personnel;
      (2)   Be responsible for the performance by his or her division of the duties assigned to it by the Charter, by law, and by this code;
      (3)   Have control of the assignment of all personnel within his or her division;
      (4)   Provide for the training and instruction of personnel within his or her division; and
      (5)   Perform other duties as the City Manager may prescribe.
