The purpose of this chapter is to regulate the sale and rental of dwelling units for the protection of the public health, safety, morals and welfare. It is also the purpose of this chapter to assure fair housing and freedom from discrimination throughout the village, to protect village residents from the segregation by race, color, religion, creed, origin, age, sex, marital status, familial status, disability or physical or mental handicap, and to secure to its residents the economic, social and professional benefits of living in a stable and integrated society.
