The violation of any provision of this chapter shall be punished by a fine of not less than $25, nor more than $500. Each day a violation of any provision of this chapter shall continue shall constitute a separate offense. Imposition of any penalty for a violation of this chapter shall not be construed as a waiver of the right of the village to collect the costs of demolition or repair of any dangerous or abandoned building or structure as provided by the provisions of this chapter.
