All exit components and all buildings over 10,000 square feet gross area or over two stories in height shall be provided with emergency smoke and heat venting. Venting may be accomplished by gravity and/or mechanical methods. All venting shall be designed in accordance with nationally-recognized standards. All venting methods shall be approved by the Fire Prevention Bureau.
