470.05 THROUGH TRUCKS PROHIBITED ON PUBLIC STREETS EXCEPT LAKE SHORE BOULEVARD.
   (a)   All trucks operating as through traffic within the Village are hereby banned from the public streets of the Village, with the exception of Lake Shore Boulevard.
   (b)   Truck is defined, for purposes of this section, as any motor vehicle, including trailers and semitractors, designed and used for the purpose of carrying material and property, as opposed to the transportation of an individual.
   (c)   No provision of this section shall be effective until signs, signals, markings or other devices giving notice of the prohibition of through truck traffic are posted upon or at the entrance to the street or part thereof affected, as may be most appropriate, so that in a proper position they are sufficiently legible to be seen by an ordinarily observant person.
   (d)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
