§ 113.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   AUCTIONEER. Includes every person or individual who engages in offering goods, wares, merchandise or property of any kind for sale by public auction; provided that the term AUCTIONEER shall not be deemed to mean or include any Sheriff, Chief of Police, administrator, executor or other officer or person making sales pursuant to any judgment, decree or order of a court, or under a warrant to enforce the collection of taxes or assessments, or to execute or complete any judicial or legal process.
   HAWKER. Includes every person or individual who offers for sale goods, wares or merchandise, or any article from a stand or wagon or on the streets, with or without outcry.
   PEDDLER. Includes every person or individual who sells or offers for sale goods, wares, merchandise or other articles carried with him or her as he or she travels from place to place or from house to house, whether the goods, wares, merchandise or other articles so sold or offered for sale are sold directly to the customer from a conveyance or vehicle, or whether the goods are sold by sample or order to be afterwards delivered from the conveyance or vehicle.
   PERSON. Includes any natural person, firm, copartnership, association or corporation.
   SOLICITOR.
      (1)   Includes every person or individual who goes from house to house or from place to place within the city selling, offering to sell or taking orders for any products, wares, merchandise or any article or service, whether payment is made prior to receiving purchased goods/services or delivery is made upon payment.
      (2)   SOLICITOR shall not include any commercial traveler receiving orders for goods at wholesale from merchants, nor shall the term include any person seeking customers for farm fresh products.
