A person parking a vehicle in a metered parking space shall immediately pay a parking space usage fee by depositing a United States coin in the appropriate parking meter sufficient for the time the vehicle is parked there. However, a person may use remaining meter time sufficient for the person’s parking use. Violation of this section shall be punishable by a fine to be set by resolution.
