Fees shall be imposed for new accounts as follows.
(A) Deposit.
(1) Opening a new customer account will require a $125 deposit. (Deposit may be waived for new customers who can show proof of an established utility account with one year’s timely payment history with no more than two late payment notices. New and current customers opening new accounts will be subject to a deposit if payment history shows more than two late notices have been received in the past.)
(2) After 12 months of consistent payments, the deposit will be applied to the customer’s account. Deposits will be used to cover the final billing when the customer terminates service voluntarily. Any termination of service for non-payment will be subject to the repayment rules and collection process currently in place.
(B) New account fee. All new accounts will be charged a $25 fee to cover the administrative cost of new account setup. The new account fee shall be paid upon request for service by the customer at the time of application.
