Every dealer or subdealer in motor vehicle fuel shall render to the city on or before the twenty-fifth day of each month, on a form prescribed, prepared and furnished by the city, a signed statement of the number of gallons of motor vehicle fuel sold, distributed or used by him, her or them during the preceding calendar month. The statement shall be signed by one of the principal officers, or by an authorized agent in the case of a corporation; or by the managing agent or owner in the case of a firm or association.
