The Municipal Arts Commission shall consist of five to seven members, all of whom shall be residents of the City or owners of one or more businesses located in the City. All of the members shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to the approval of the Council by a vote of a majority of its members. One member shall be a liaison to City Council charged with coordinating Commission activities with the City. The Mayor, City Administrator, or their designee shall serve as an ex-officio member with a vote. The originally appointed members shall serve staggered terms of one, two and three years designated by the Mayor. Successors to those members originally appointed and any newly appointed members to increase the number of serving members shall thereafter be appointed for terms of three years each. The Municipal Arts Commission shall adopt such other organizational procedures and policies not inconsistent with this chapter subject to the approval of the Mayor.
