SECTION 12.01 EFFECTIVE DATE OF CHARTER.

For the purpose of designating, nominating and electing officers of the City and conducting municipal elections, this Charter took effect on June 7, 1977, the date of the election at which it was approved. For all other purposes, this Charter took effect on January l, 1978.
