Backfilling over drains or sewers and paving of that part of the drain or sewer in the public right of way must be completed within forty-eight hours. The completed job must be equal to the condition of the area before excavation. The City Engineer shall inspect and approve the finished job, however, the sewer or drain layer shall be held responsible for any subsequent settlement of the ground and pavement. (Ord. 76-65.
