§ 33.23 USE OF FUND.
   (A)   The Police Department may receive money under this subchapter if it files a claim with the town December 1 and June 1 of each year with the Clerk/Treasurer.
   (B)   The claim must include a statement identifying each cause upon which the claim is based by court and cause number and must be a fee collected during the previous six-month period ending December 15 and June 15. Once the Police Department has claimed and received the fees collected, the Fund shall be established to account for such fees.
   (C)   The funds received in this Fund by the police shall be used for the continuing education and training of law enforcement officers employed by the town.
   (D)   Expenditures from this Fund must have a prior appropriation and can be made only after a claim has been processed in the usual manner.
