§ 32.45 PURPOSE AND SCOPE.
   The town is committed to providing a safe and productive work environment for its employees. To accomplish this objective, appropriate policies are implemented from time to time which are consistent with the spirit and intent of this commitment. With this in mind, the town has developed this drug-free workplace policy, the purposes of which are to establish and maintain a work environment that is free from the effects of illegal drug use and alcohol abuse and to help employees overcome any alcohol or drug abuse problem they may have. This policy includes pre-employment drug screen testing of job applicants, but not random testing of employees. This policy is applicable to all employees regardless of title or position and includes temporary and part-time employees.
