§ 31.01 OFFICER’S INDEMNIFICATION.
   The town shall indemnify the officers of the town (elected and appointed) and hold each of them harmless for any acts or decisions made by any one of them, individually or collectively, in good faith while performing services for the town, and to use its best efforts to obtain coverage for the town officers under any insurance policy now in force or hereinafter obtained during the term of their office covering the town officers of the town against lawsuits. The town shall pay all expenses, including attorney’s fees, actually and necessarily incurred by the town officers in connection with the defense of such act, suit, or proceeding, and in connection with any appeal thereon, including the costs of court settlement.
