(A) (1) If the application for a building permit is approved, the Clerk/Treasurer shall issue the permit.
(2) If disapproved, the Building Inspector shall state his or her reason for denial and the applicant may amend his or her application to conform with the recommendations of the Building Inspector and the Clerk/Treasurer shall issue a permit on such amended application as approved by the Building Inspector.
(B) (1) If disapproved and no amendment to the application is made, the applicant shall have the right to appeal the decision of the Building Inspector to the Town Council by filing a written appeal setting forth his or her contentions therein within 20 days of the denial of such application.
(2) The Council shall review such appeal at its next regular meeting. If the denial of such application is reversed, the Clerk/Treasurer shall issue a building permit. If the denial of such application is sustained, no building permit shall issue.
