§ 110.04 ITINERANT MERCHANT’S LICENSE.
   (A)   Application. Any person desiring to engage in the business of itinerant merchant within the town shall make an application, in writing, to the Town Clerk/Treasurer for a license so to do, which application shall be filed with the Clerk/Treasurer at least seven days before such applicant shall be authorized to begin such business. Such application shall state the name and residence of the applicant, the place where such business is to be conducted, the kinds of goods to be sold, and the length of time for which the license is desired.
   (B)   Fees. Upon the filing of such application, the approval by the Town Clerk/Treasurer to such applicant to begin business shall be not less than seven days after the date of filing such application, upon the payment of such fees as are set by the Council from time to time. All such license fees must be paid in advance.
   (C)   Renewal. If any licensee under this section desires to continue in business after the expiration of the license, a new license must be secured in the same manner and upon the same terms as the original license.
   (D)   Exemptions. Any person exempted by the laws of this state from the payment of the license fees levied under this section shall, before beginning such business, present to the Town Clerk/Treasurer his or her credentials, showing that he or she is entitled to such exemption. Upon approval by the Clerk/Treasurer, he or she shall then receive a certificate from the Clerk/Treasurer authorizing him or her to engage in the business of itinerant merchant within the town for any period of time not longer than one month. If at the end of a month such person desires to continue in such business, another certificate must be procured from the Clerk/Treasurer.
