§ 30.03 ELECTIONS.
   (A)   (1)   Elections for the offices of Town Council members, Town Clerk/Treasurer, and Town Court Judge shall be conducted during general elections.
      (2)   The terms for the elected offices for the town shall be as follows.
         (a)   Town Council members. The Town Council of shall consist of five members, all of whom shall be elected in 2015.
            1.   The three members elected to the Town Council in 2015 who receive the three highest vote totals shall serve a three-year term beginning on January 1, 2016. At the end of the initial three-year term, these three seats shall be placed on the ballot in 2018, and every four years thereafter, for a four-year term.
            2.   The two members elected to the Town Council in 2015 who receive the two lowest vote totals shall serve a one-year term beginning January 1, 2016. At the end of the initial one-year term, these two seats shall be placed on the ballot in 2016, and every four years thereafter, for a four-year term.
         (b)   Clerk/Treasurer. The Town Clerk/Treasurer shall be elected in 2015 and shall serve a three-year term beginning on January 1, 2016. At the end of the initial three-year term, the office of Clerk/Treasurer shall be placed on the ballot in 2018, and every four years thereafter, for a four-year term.
         (c)   Town Court Judge. The Town Court Judge shall be elected in 2015 and shall serve a three-year term beginning on January 1, 2016. At the end of the initial three-year term, the office of Town Court Judge shall be placed on the ballot in 2018, and every four years thereafter for a four-year term.
   (B)   Pursuant to I.C. 3-10-7-3, the County Election Board shall conduct elections for the town. The Clerk/Treasurer and the President of the Town Council are authorized to take all action necessary to transfer authority to conduct elections to the county.
   (C)   The Town Clerk/Treasurer shall forward a signed copy of this section to the Circuit Court Clerk and shall request the Clerk/Treasurer to include a copy of this section in the records of the County Election Board.
   (D)   This section shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage.
