It shall be unlawful for any person to store or allow to remain in the open public or private property within the corporate limits of the town, any disassembled, or inoperable and unlicensed, junk, wrecked, or abandoned motor vehicle for a period of five or more days on public property, or for a period of 15 or more days on private property, unless it is in connection with an automotive sales or repair business enterprise which operated under a duly issued and exhibited store license and is located in a properly zones area. The provisions of this subchapter shall not apply to auto salvage yards and/or junkyards that ore duly operated and licensed by the state and the town, and are operated and located in a properly zoned area.
