The compensation of the Mayor shall be seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) per month. The compensation of each Council member shall be seventy five dollars ($75.00) for actual attendance at each regular or special meeting; provided, that this section shall not be applied to increase the salary of any officer during his term in effect as of the date of adoption of the ordinance codified herein.
