6-1-3: PENALTY:
   A.   Violation: It is a misdemeanor for any person to violate any of the provisions of this title, unless such violation is declared to be a felony by State law.
   B.   Penalty: Every person convicted of a misdemeanor for a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter for which another penalty is not provided shall be punished as provided in section 1-4-1 of this Code. Evidence of a prior conviction or convictions shall not be introduced during the trial of any case, but shall be introduced only after the completion of the trial for the purpose of determining the penalty to be imposed upon a conviction hereunder.
