§ 71.05 AUTHORITY TO DESIGNATE CROSSWALKS, ESTABLISH SAFETY ZONES AND MARK TRAFFIC LANES.
   The Town Manager, upon recommendation of the Police Chief and approval by the Council, is hereby authorized:
   (A)   To have designated and maintained, by appropriate devices, marks or lines upon the surface of the roadway, crosswalks at intersections where, in his or her opinion, there is particular danger to pedestrians crossing the roadway, and at other places as he or she may deem necessary;
   (B)   To establish safety zones of a kind and character and at those places as he or she may deem necessary for the protection of pedestrians; and
   (C)   To have marked lanes for traffic on street pavement at places as he or she may deem advisable, consistent with the traffic laws of the town.
