A. Registration And Vaccination; Fee:
1. All dogs kept, harbored or maintained in the town shall be vaccinated and registered as herein provided on or before March 1 of each year. Registration tags shall be issued by the town clerk upon proof of vaccination for rabies within a two (2) year period immediately upon payment of a registration fee of ten dollars ($10.00) per year for every dog, except as provided in subsection B of this section. Should said license fee not be paid on or before March 1 annually, then said license fee shall be deemed delinquent and in the event that the license fee hereby levied becomes delinquent, the license agent shall cause to be levied and collected, in addition to the license fee herein set forth, a ten dollar ($10.00) delinquent fee.
2. The owner shall state at the time of application for registration and upon printed forms provided for such purpose, his name, address and the name, breed, color, and sex of each dog owned or kept by him.
3. Proof of vaccination shall consist of a certificate of vaccination from a registered, licensed, and practicing veterinarian. (1976 Code § 8.04.110)
B. Lower Fee For Persons Over Sixty: The registration fee for a dog owned by a person over the age of sixty (60) years, shall be the sum of five dollars ($5.00) per dog, and must be paid on or before March 1 of each year. In the event the registration fee becomes delinquent according to the provisions of subsection A of this section, the regular registration fee and delinquent fee shall apply.
