A. Removal Of Obstructions; Orders: Whenever the chief of the fire department, or any officer of the town or firefighter shall find obstructions to or on fire escapes, stairs, passageways, doors, windows, etc., liable to interfere with the operations of the fire department, or egress of the occupants in case of fire, he shall order the same to be removed or remedied. (1976 Code § 2.24.100)
B. Compliance Required: Orders issued under authority of subsection A of this section shall be complied with promptly by the owner, his agent, or occupant of the building or premises involved. Any person failing to so comply shall be punished as set forth in section 1-4-1 of this code. (1976 Code § 2.24.110)
