A. The town council may notify or cause to be notified, in writing, the applicant to appear before the council for the purpose of further inquiry into the facts and circumstances of the application and the fitness of the applicant to be licensed. (1976 Code § 5.04.060)
B. The council may direct a law enforcement officer to investigate the facts stated in each license application, the qualifications and character of the applicant and the officers and owners of the firm to be licensed. (1976 Code § 5.04.060; amd. 2016 Code)
