1-10-6: TOWN JUDGE:
   A.   Presiding Officer: The presiding officer of the town court shall be the town judge. If none is elected or appointed by the town, the justice of the peace or city/town judge of another city or town in Prairie County shall be the town judge. (1976 Code § 2.16.060; amd. 2016 Code)
   B.   When Judge Cannot Act: In all cases in which the judge is a party, or in which said judge is interested, or when he is related to either party by consanguinity or affinity within the sixth degree, and in case of his sickness, absence, or inability to act, the town judge or mayor may call in a justice of the peace or some qualified resident of the town to act in his place and stead. (1976 Code § 2.16.070)
   C.   Collection Of Fines: The town judge shall collect all fines, costs and forfeitures that accrue to the town from cases tried or disposed of in the town court. He shall give a receipt therefor to the person paying the same, and pay the collected monies to the treasurer of the town. (1976 Code § 2.16.080)
