8-2-1: ADOPTION OF CODE:
   A.   Adoption; Copy On File:
      1.   The national electrical code, 1968 edition, copyrighted by the National Fire Protection Association, together with the appendix and all subsequent amendments and additions thereto is declared to be the town electrical code for the purpose of prescribing regulations for the purpose of safeguarding persons and buildings and their contents from hazards arising from the use of electricity for light, heat, power, radio, and for other purposes.
      2.   One full printed copy of the code shall be on file in the office of the town clerk. The aforesaid national electrical code is hereby adopted by reference and made a part of this chapter as fully, and for all intents and purposes, as though set forth herein at length. It shall be known and designated as the "electrical code" of the town. (1976 Code § 15.16.010)
   B.   Changes In Electrical Code: The electrical code, described in subsection A of this section, is amended by the additions, deletions and modifications set forth in the following sections of this chapter. (1976 Code § 15.16.020)
