9-1-3: DEFINITIONS:
The following terms and definitions shall be observed, unless the town council or the context clearly requires otherwise:
COMMERCIAL: All developments for the purposes of warehousing, wholesaling, retailing, providing business, personal services or professional services, etc.
COMPLIANCE PERMIT: A permit issued by the town council granting procedure to a given development proposal.
DEVELOPMENT: Any construction on a site, including signs, occupancy of a site, or change of land use on a site.
INDUSTRIAL: All developments for the purposes of mining, manufacturing or processing materials.
MOBILE HOME: A factory assembled movable dwelling over thirty two feet (32') in length and more than eight feet (8') in width, designed and constructed to be towed on its own chassis, comprised of frame and wheels.
MOBILE HOME COURT: An area occupied by three (3) or more mobile homes, recreational vehicles, mobile home spaces or recreational vehicle spaces. A mobile home court is under one ownership, distinguishing it from a subdivision in which lots are sold for mobile home placement.
MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLING: All modular or conventional multiple-family dwellings designed for the occupancy of two (2) or more families.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: Requirements developed to implement a given policy within the master plan. These requirements must be met by the applicant in order to be granted a compliance permit.
RECREATIONAL VEHICLE (RV): Generally used to refer to an enclosed piece of equipment dually used as both a vehicle and a temporary travel home. Also referred to as motor homes and motor caravans.
SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING: All mobile, modular or conventional single dwellings designed for occupancy by a single family.
SITE: A parcel of land subdivided or unsubdivided.
SKETCH PLAN: A means of conveying a preliminary plan for development presented by the applicant to the town council, including sufficient information for knowledgeable discussion during the review process. Requirements for the sketch plan will vary between development proposals.
SUBDIVISION: A division of a unit of land into three (3) or more lots, plots, units, sites, or other divisions of land for the immediate or future purpose of sale, building development or redevelopment for residential, recreational, industrial, commercial or public uses. The word "subdivide" or any derivative thereof, shall have reference to the term subdivision.
URBAN LIMIT LINE: A boundary line delineating the area outside which the town can not feasibly extend town services and therefor shall not extend town services. (1986 Code § 4-201; amd. Ord. 175, 5-5-2009)
