7-2-8: PIPES AND OTHER MATERIALS FOR CONNECTIONS:
The pipe used in making any such sewer connections as herein described shall be four inches (4") or more in diameter, and of standard sewer pipe or cast iron pipe. In making the tap or connections into the Y branch of the sewer line, an increaser of proper dimensions shall be used; and all joints shall be packed with oakum and properly cemented. All such connecting sewers shall be laid to uniform grade and alignment. Any angles which may be necessary in the line shall be of standard sewer pipe bends. Each bowl used in connection with said connecting sewer shall be equipped with adequate flushing device to carry off all matter deposited in such bowl. (1986 Code § 19-105)
